Maybe kids have the most fun ...
The small-fry will have lots more to do at ArtsPark thanks to the Ottawa School of Art and Merge Business Solutions. Children can create an original Mothers' Day card to take home and join in the fun of making a group mural called “This is our neighbourhood” using paper dolls, a variety of Hintonburg landmarks and streetscapes.

... but adults love it too
Last year, ArtsPark visitors commented that there's a "friendly neighbourhood atmosphere [here]... people come out and play in the [park] together... We came last year and really enjoyed it." Intrigued? Go to YouTube.com for a 7-minute peek at the 2008 event.

Great music all day

11 AM Herb Girls
Take vintage pop, rock and country, add oil of jazz and a scent of the blues. Play these spicy compositions with a saucy disposition and you’ve got a hokey-pokey of fun tunes from Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Never-on-Thyme that young and old will be sure to enjoy!

Noon Ottawa Community Concert Band
This will be the fourth appearance at ArtsPark for this outstanding 40-member orchestra performing marches, standards, show tunes and big band hits. You'll love the full, open-air sound!

1 PM The Flats
Indie rock band have a sound like no other that bridges folk traditions and pure ear candy -- their music is filled with harmonies, hooks and head-bop. Are you ready?

ArtsPark 10 May 2009 Ottawa QUAD1:50 PM The Woodrunners
Hintonburgers with an original sound spanning Neil Young, Crazy Horse, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Some would describe them as rootsy, bluesy, funky, folky... but their performances are always unpredictable.

2:35 PM Lucky Ron
The New York Times commented in 2007: "Ron Burke belts out his own twangy brand of 1950s country music. An Ottawa native, Lucky Ron always performs the first four songs in the same order, and, for better or worse, the audience is encouraged to join in." You know what to do when this 2008 Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Famer is on stage.

3:20 PM Lost Colt
Down home, boot stompin', Saturday night barndance rock and roll, with a little 21st century outlaw and a bit of hurtin' country. You'll love 'em.

Mothers' Day Gallery Hop in the QUAD
Gallery hop in Hintonburg Four galleries, all within walking distance of the ArtsPark venue — Patrick John Mills (A on the map below), Cube (B), Fritzy (C) and Gallery3 (D) — are also organizing a "gallery hop" and are open 10AM to 4PM.
